Dr. Kuldeep Thakur

Dr. Kuldeep Thakur is an expert in the field of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology. He holds an M.Ch. degree in Head Neck Surgery and Oncology. After completing post-graduation in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery, he joined the M.Ch. course in Head Neck Surgery and Oncology and completed it in December 2020 from the highly prestigious AIIMS, New Delhi.

He has developed and refined the art and craft of managing all spectrums of Head and Neck Cancers in a multi-disciplinary and evidence-based manner. He joined Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Kochi, Kerala as an Assistant Professor where he further refined his clinical and surgical skills in the reconstruction of Head and Neck cancer patients.

He has an experience of over 13 years and constantly updates himself with the most recent advancements in treatment modalities in cancer. He has served various teaching institutions like AIIMS Bilaspur and IGMC Shimla as faculty and Head and Neck cancer surgeon.

His areas of special interest include surgical management of oral cancers, laryngeal cancers, nose and sinus cancer, thyroid and parathyroid cancer, salivary gland cancer, skin cancers of the head and neck region, minimally invasive and remote access cancer surgeries including Laser and Robotic surgeries, and complex recurrent cancers and salvage resections. He is an expert in reconstruction using loco-regional and free flaps and has published papers in international journals and contributed chapters to medical books.
